Looking into the past, an increase in the number of sanitary and epidemiological institutions required a centralized management of their activities and the creation of an organizational and methodological center. For this, on May 13, 1952, on the basis of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic No. 838, the Republican Sanitary and Epidemiological Station - SES was established. S. N. Niyazov was appointed his first chief physician. In the early years, 68 people worked at the Republican SES, 19 of which were doctors with higher education. In 1955, changes were made to the structure of the sanitary-epidemiological service of the republic. The State Sanitary Inspectorate, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station, a single regional sanitary and epidemiological station, combining institutions working against malaria and brucellosis, were created. By 1960, the country had 154 sanitary and epidemiological points. By 1963, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution “On State Sanitary Inspection”. In 1967, on the initiative of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, in order to improve the sanitary-epidemiological service in the country, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to restore the independence of district hydroelectric power stations, and in 1956 the independence of district hydroelectric power stations assigned to the district central hospital was ensured. For the first time in 1968, centralized management and financing of the sanitary-epidemiological service of Uzbekistan was carried out. On May 31, 1973, a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On state sanitary control in the country" was adopted. The adoption of this document marked a new stage in the development of the sanitary-epidemiological service in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since 1974, laboratory studies (analyzes) of the sanitary-epidemiological service have been centralized. In Tashkent and 9 regions, 31 inter-district laboratories equipped with modern equipment have been created. Adoption of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 422 dated July 24, 1978 “On Further Measures to Improve the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service” Improving water supply, improving water supply, attention to sanitation in settlements, sanitation in children's institutions in public catering establishments, improving the implementation of health measures . On July 3, 1992, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted the Law on State Sanitary Control. This law is the legal basis for the activities of the State Sanitary Inspectorate. The adoption of this law (of national importance) is of national importance in the implementation of measures such as ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological safety of the population. Today in the country there are 227 DSENMs, including 157 districts, 40 cities, 14 regional, 15 departmental and 1 republican DSENM
